SUBANG JAYA, For Team Proton R3, the Sepang 1000KM (S1K) Endurance Race is the finale of a long and tough season on the race track. Proton R3 will once again run their now familiar Proton Suprima S and Proton Prevé race cars. After a difficult start to the season, the team has worked hard to improve the performance of both cars and have been rewarded with a 1st and 2nd finish in the recently concluded round 5, the final round of the 2014 Malaysian Super Series.

“The no.12, Proton Preve R3 will be driven by the pairing of Tengku Djan Ley and Syafiq Ali. In car no.11, Proton Suprima S R3, James Veerapen will be joined by a newcomer to the team, Tengku Ezan Ley, who is a former driver for Honda Malaysia Racing Team. He will make his first appearance for Proton R3 since 2006.
