PETALING JAYA: Proton and Media Prima Berhad have teamed up to create a new reality show called the Prevé Funz Challenge.

The reality game show - presented in English and Bahasa Malaysia, will be aired every Saturday from 2 November 2013 on TV3 at 7.30pm, and will run for eight weeks.

Eight teams, comprising three individuals each, will battle it out every week to complete challenges and tasks related to Proton.


The team that completes the task with the fastest possible time and most points wins the challenge, while the team that comes in last will be eliminated at the end of each episode.

The participating teams stand a chance to win cash, holiday packages and electrical gadgets.

The winning team will receive RM15,000, and the chance to visit the Lotus plant in Britain.

In addition, the team will be able to watch a Norwich City FC home game at the Norwich stadium.

Proton branding and motorsports group marketing director Pat Wahid said the Prevé was picked as the "star"of the show as it represented a new generation of Proton cars, that are well made.

The public will also get to take part in the contest.

A Viewers Contest held throughout the airing of the show, with the grand prize being a visit to the Lotus palnt and a chance to watch a Norwich City FC football match.

"Viewers are invited to visit the Prevé Funz Challenge site from Nov 2.

To complete their entry, they will need to collect four codes which will be revealed in selected episodes of the show and enter in the codes, then answer two questions based on the program, and complete a slogan.

Winners would be selected based on the correct codes, correct answers and best slogan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton has launched a limited edition Preve in conjunction with the start of a new contest “Pandu & Menang” that offers the car as the grand prize.

The Prevé LE has a limited production run of only 100 units and is only available in solid white.

Additions to the RM79,688 car include an all-new body kit, leather seats, 17" rims and a 5-Star ANCAP package with six airbags.

At the same time, Proton also unveiled a new colour for the existing Prevé called Soft Lilac.

Targeted at women buyers, the new colour option is available with immediate effect.

The “Pandu & Menang” contest, which begins today, will run for 60 days and ends on Dec 17.

Winners stand the chance to win daily and weekly prizes which include a 42" LED TV, electrical gadgets and cash prizes throughout the duration of the contest.

Prizes are worth more than RM400,000 in total.

The grand prize winner selected at the end of the contest will win the Prevé LE.

The contest was held to create excitement and improve Proton's visibility, said Proton deputy chief executive officer Datuk Lukman Ibrahim.

Malaysians and permanent residents of the country with a valid IC or passport and drivers licence are eligible to participate in the “Pandu & Menang” contest.

To enter, head over to a Proton showroom to test drive any Proton model and fill in the test drive form.

The contest is divided into two sections: one via SMS, where participants will need to answer two questions correctly and respond in the fastest time to win the daily prizes.

In the other section of the contest, participants must take a creative picture with the test-driven Proton car and upload it on Facebook for a chance to win the weekly prizes.

However, only the SMS contest participants who places a booking and registers his or her car within the contest period will be eligible to win the grand prize.
