SUBANG JAYA: National car manufacturer Proton Holdings Bhd has launched a fund raising effort for the war victims in Gaza.

The effort will run till Sept 25 and is part of Proton’s Corporate Responsibility, which is in collaboration with PGPF (Perdana Global Peace Foundation).

The Founder and president of PGPF and chairman of Proton Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad launched the programme today.

The fund raising exercise is a way for Proton to show its support against war and crimes of war, according to CEO of Proton Datuk Abdul Harith Abdullah.

The fundraising drive will involve teams of Proton Suprima S cars with Drive For Gaza liveries and driven by Proton’s Roving Team on Mondays and Thursdays into high traffic areas.

The public may make donations via the donation boxes placed at all 221 Proton sales outlets and 270 service outlets nationwide.

For those who wish to donate via cheque, contributions must be made under the name, Perdana Global Peace Foundation and sent directly to Proton’s Group Communications, at Proton Holdings Berhad, Centre of Excellence, KM33.8 Westbound Shah Alam Expressway, 47600 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

For direct contribution to PGPF, donations can be banked in to PGPF's Maybank account no - 5641 0041 5711.
